Whether it be 100 psf.,125 psf., or even 200 psf., the structural composition pf the mezzanine will need to be designed to meet a certain load requirement. In addition, access to the mezzanine must be well thought out.
Usually, two sets of pre-fabricated steel stairs are needed for easy access by personnel. Fixed steel ladders can be incorporated, depending on the usage of the mezzanine. Sometimes a vertical reciprocating conveyor (VRC) is used to bring material up to the deck. It is important to always include PE stamped drawings as part of the project scope.
Repairs and Modifications
When repairs are needed, we can install new toe boards onto the existing handrail on the pre-fabricated steel mezzanine.
When modifications are needed, we can install a new handrail and a swing gate or even a Roll-over Safety Gate on the mezzanine.
